In early 2023, Chillington Tool, a century-old manufacturer of agricultural tools, faced a flood of counterfeits across its core markets in Africa, Asia, and Europe. Farmers unknowingly bought fake machetes. Dealers lost trust. Social media went quiet. And Chillington’s hard-earned reputation was on the line.
